11 miles of feso4 treated with one mole of acidic kmno4 solution and resulting solution is furthur treated with acidic k2cr2o7 solution as a result the remaining feso4 is completely oxidised.find out the minimum no of moles of k2cr2o7 present in the solution
Hi Saiharshvardhan!!
5 moles of ferrous sulphate will get oxidized to ferric sulphate with 1 mole of KMnO4 as there is acidic medium.
The left moles of ferrous sulphate will also get oxidized by K2Cr2O7. The number of moles of K2Cr2O7 required for the left of the reaction is 1 mole.
