Ultrasound or more appropriately Sonography is a method in which high frequency waves are used in medicine i.e. to detect abnormalities within cell in the body. It has wide usage in medicine. Due to wide application, there is a separate course for Sonography.
Sonography courses after 12th:
- B.Sc Medical Imaging Technology : 3 years
- B.Sc Medical Lab Technology: 4 years
- B.Sc Radiography/ Radiology: 3years
- Ultrasound Diploma Course: 6 months
- Diploma in Radiography: 2 years
Colleges like Galgotia University, Delhi University, AIIMS Rishikesh, etc. are institutes that provide these courses.
Candidates with this course get an opportunity to work in a variety of research institutes, hospitals, and nursing homes.
