1)It depends on you . There is no compulsion to give JEE ADVANCE. If you want to take admission in IITs or any colleges which come under JEE advance then you can give JEE adv. You need not give JEE adv. if you want a college that gives admission on the basis of JEE MAINS.
2) No. JEE ADVANCE is conducted only once a year. You can appear for it 2 times in a row for 2 consecutive years. It is considered by IITs and is not effected by the decisions taken by NTA for JEE MAINS.
3) The admission in some colleges would be almost done before JEE ADVANCE, but majority colleges would give admission after JEE ADVANCE. You can freeze your seat , if you are not confident about JEE ADVANCE, and later if you get a good college through JEE ADVANCE then you can the leave the college. But you have to check the rules of the college in which you are freezing the seat before doing it.
4) Yes absolutely. JEE MAINS is completely independent of JEE ADVANCE. If you don't clear JEE ADVANCE then it will not effect you marks or rank in JEE MAINS. You can take admission through your JEE MAINS marks.
Hope my answer clears your query.
Hello,
1 AAT is for only those who wish to join BArch programme in IITs.
2 Yes,Jee advanced is conducted only 2times and too in continuos years including 12th passing year.
3 First Jee Mains is organised, then the cutoff is calculated on the basis of which students are eligible for Jee advanced. Then jee advanced is held, and finally after the jee advanced result is declared,Councelling for the differents IITs,NITs,IIITs and GFTIs start.
4 Yes you will still the colleges which you were getting, since they have only jee mains marks as their eligibility.
