1.how much does it cost to study BTECH in USA ? 2. are they better than our iits in context of placements and jobs?
The undergrad degree abroad is called bachelors of engineering and not btech. Regarding the cost to pursue the same, it totally depends from university to university and location to location. On an average, you should assume the cost to be somewhere in between 25,000-50,000 USD per year including living expenses.
On a serious note: (US universities)
- The courses in US would be very advanced (up-to-date).
- Better course structure, and flexibility.
- Much better exposure to recent technological advancements.
At IITs, on the other hand, if you want to learn something advanced, you are pretty much on your own. But then clearing JEE makes you so tough that you never really find anything hard --- you can almost study anything if you have dedication (no matter what the level of the maths is), and devote time. You also meet people who are as capable (or even more) as you.
Hope this helps
