there are some colleges which allows NRI quota in admissions. Top Engineering colleges like NITs, IIITs, BITS pilani have alloted seats for NRI's and Children of Indians Working in Gulf(CIWG) under DASA(Direct Admission of Students Abroad). These students are selected on the basis of their SAT scores.
Anna University officials said, as per a court directive issued this February, they have ensured none of the quotas exceeded 25 percent of a course. “We have 4 per cent for foreign nationals, 4 per cent of NRI and 2 per cent for children of parents of Indian origin in Gulf.
For NRI admission, a student should have at least 50th percentile (119 marks) in NEET 2019 to be considered qualified. Candidate should be at least 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2019 to be eligible for NRI admission. The maximum age for NRI admission is 25 years from the date of the examination.
Hi,
Well the fee structure keeps varying depending on the institution in which the candidate is seeking admission.
But usually the fees for NRI is more than the fees for indian students.
On an average it ranges between 20000USD to 75000 USD. But thats just the course fee.
Similarly even for hostel fees its more than what it is for indian students.
Fees is comparatively lesser in government affilited colleges. But when it comes to private or deemed, fees are high.
All the best
