Ans-. Aldehydes and ketones are widely used as solvents. Formalin is used to preserve biological specimens. Many aldehydes are used in drugs and polymers. Many ketones are well known for their flavours and odours .These are discussed in NCERT Class 12 Chemistry chapter 12
