2 year or 1 year MBA after 6 years of work experience?
Your concern is quite genuine. Generally we see a lot of freshers in the 2 year MBA course. Although ppl with workex are there but maximum is up to 3 years with very few among them with more than 4 years of experience.
People with higher workex face a lot of problems getting placed during the summer internship. Although experience gives an edge during final placement but too much workex makes the employer worry about the unlearning process that the employee would have to go through of hired. Also the number of companies hiring people with workex on the higher side is quite less on numbers.
Because of these reasons people opt for the 1 year programme which is designed in a way to cover all the course content of 2 years in a span of 1year. Your experience will held more value on a 1 year programme rather than 2.
Hope this helps in making your decision.
All the best for your future endeavours!
Thank you for replying.
So the schools offering 1 year programme mostly take CAT or GMAT scores, right?
I have no much idea on 1 year courses. Want to go for a regular full time course. Could you give some idea on this. Want to target best b schools only.
My interest area is Marketing, HR, Healthcare management (Currently working in the same sector) or general management. Or anything else you may like to guide me.
They all take admissions through GMAT
