Dear student,

  • 2
  • 2= 2+ (1^2 - 1)
  • 5= 2+( 2^2-1)

so on the series pattern follows and the next number as answer will be 28+(5^2-1)= 52

hope this helps.

Hello,

The next number in the series would be 52.

If you look at the difference between the two consecutive numbers then it is 0, 3, 8, 15.

------ Now if you look at this difference between the two numbers they are following a pattern.

The first difference can be represented as 1^2 -1 = 0

Similarly other differences can be expressed as -

2^2 - 1 = 3

3^2 - 1 = 8

4^ 2 - 1 = 15

Hence if we continue the same pattern the next number should be -

5^2 - 1 = 24 and 28+24 = 52

I hope you find the answer helpful.

Thank you.

Hello,

2,2,5,13,28

  • 2–2=0
  • 5–2=3
  • 3–5=8
  • 28–13=15

Than repeat follow the series of the above sequence. like -

  • 3–0=3
  • 8–3=5
  • 15–8=7

Here the difference is increasing by two -

Than 15+9=24.

So, 28+24=52.

Than next number will be the solution = 52

All the best!

Hope it will help!

Thank you!
