Correct Answer: 42
Solution : 24 Women + 9 Men = 18 days Each woman takes twice the amount of time taken by a man to finish the work. So, 1 man = 2 woman ⇒ 9 men = 9 × 2 = 18 women So, 24 + 18 = 42 women complete the work in 18 days. We know, $W_1D_1= W_2D_2$, where $W_1,W_2$ are number of women, $D_1,D_2$ are number of days ⇒ $42×18=18×D_2$ $\therefore D_2=42$ Hence, the correct answer is 42 days.
