2x+5y=7 has unique solution if x and y
Hello student!
As per your query I would like to inform you that the given equation is a linear equation (Degree=1) in two variables (x and y) and a linear equation in two variables has infinitely many solutions. For example say, if I put x=0 we will get y=7/5 , for x=1 we will get y=1, for x=3 we will get y= -8/5. So for every different values of x we will get different values of y. So the given equation 2x+5y=7 has infinitely many solutions.
Hope it helps!!
Hi,
The equation 2x + 5y = 7 has a unique solution, if x, y are Natural numbers.
Explanation:
Consider, 2x + 5y = 7
x | 1 |
---|---|
y | 1 |
A. (1, 1) is a solution of 2x + 5y = 7
B. If positive real numbers are chosen, 2x + 5y = 7 will have many solutions.
C. If real numbers are chosen, 2x + 5y = 7 will have infinite solutions.
D. If rational numbers are chosen, 2x + 5y = 7 will have many solutions.
Hope this helps.
