At NIRF rankings, it has excellent scores for areas like Research and Professional Practice (RPP) and Graduation Outcomes (GO). UGC gives a meager subsidy of about 26 crores for state-run universities like JU. As for tuition fees, JU is one of the cheapest. Its like 10k for undergarduation. Placements in Jadavpur University is really good with about 90% placements in UG. Research environment is also good which gives it a spot in MHRD rankings.
