3year llb or 5 year llb is better

Law programs are of two types, first is integrated one based on 10+2 qualification for a duration of five years in many forms such as BA-LLB, BBA-LLB,BCom-LLB,BCA-LLB etc ,

Eligibility of integrated law program is having passed 10+2 from a recognized board with minimum 50% aggregate, there's relaxation of 5% in case of reserved category, some of the top entrance tests are CLAT, AILET, LSAT, SET to name a few, there are also colleges which offer admission based on the merit of the qualifying examination such as The Tamil Nadu Dr BR Ambedkar University, if you're interested in pursuing a law career from the beginning, going for the integrated program is best, you can choose subjects/discipline as per your choice and depending on the subject combinations at 10+2 level.here you study other subjects as well along with law as per the degree program, for instance if you're in interested in finance, management along with law you can pursue BBA-LLB, this course is also perfect choice in case in you have aspirations for working in corporate sector,

On the other hand, three year duration LLB is based on graduation degree, so in total depending on the duration of your graduation studies(3-4 years as law has no barriers in terms of belonging to specific stream), it will comparatively take one-two years more, as first you will have to complete your graduation then three year of law program, here also admission process varies as per the norms of the university, top entrance exams are DU LLB, BHU UET, LAT etc, apart from this we also have state level exams for both three and five years law courses such as AP LAWCET, TS LAWCET, KLEE, MAH CET LAW etc.

To sum up the difference in brief, integrated law program is more of amalgamation of law with other areas, here you'll study other subjects as well along with law, while in case of three years LLB it'll be solely focused on exploring the core areas of law, in the former case it's five year duration while the later is done after graduation, hence it'll take more time comparatively, the opportunities  more or less remain the same irrespective of what path you choose, as you can explore all the areas that's relevant to both three and five year law programs,
