That's a quite decent score when it comes to scoring in such competitive exams like NEET. With a score of 400 in the NEET Exam, you can get an MBBS seat, However, you need 400+ marks to get admission into a government medical college.
400 score is a decent score to get a MBBS admission in the NEET Counselling under a private college.
If your score is 400 or 400+ then you should apply under Deemed University counselling which is conducted by MCC.
Then you can attend the KEA counselling which is Karnataka state counselling body. They allow even non Karnataka candidates to take part in the counselling.
Yes you can take part in your state counselling too and should be able to get a seat.
As far as private medical colleges fee is concerned it varies from state to state and college to college. As of now minimum fee in private college is around Rs. 6.16 Lakhs per annum.
Even you can get a seat in good deemed medical college. Fee of deemed medical colleges varies from 12 Lakhs per annum to 25.75 Lakhs per annum.
