CMC Vellore has 100 seat intake. 74 seats are filled through sponsored Candidates of Associated churches of CMC. 10 seats are reserved for wards of CMC Staff. 1 seat is sponsored by the Central Government of India and there are 3 seats allotted for SC/ST. The remaining 12 seats are for Open Merit. All these seats are filled through Tamilnadu State Counselling. But you belong to Jammu and Kashmir and hold the domicile of Jammu and Kashmir. So you cannot take admission in CMC Vellore because Jammu and Kashmir have 100% State Quota and do not participate in All India Counselling. But just to answer your question, 550 is a decent score but cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. With a score of 550-600, a seat in CMC Vellore under SC Category is possible. You have scored a very good marks in neet. Christian medical college has many reservations. As 89 seats are reserved for Christian candidates and 4-5 seats are reserved for the Hindu candidates and 20 seats for the students whose parents work there. Rest is reserved for NRI students. So if you are a non Christian candidate then it might be difficult to avail a seat in CMC.
