GATE 2025: Syllabus | Sample Papers
Dear Aspirant,
If you have a basic understanding of your subjects than 6 months is precisely enough to clear the GATE exam. In the end, GATE is an exam which test your understanding of the basic concepts in your branch. So if you are someone who is familiar with the basics then you will definitely get a good rank.
However, if you are someone who don't have any basic understanding than 6 months might not be enough for you and you might need additional 4-5 months because you need to build the basics first.
Hope this helps. Thank you.
yes of course 6 month are enough to prepare for GATE examination but only when if you had focused on your syllabus in the duration of your BTech/BE, because majority of syllabus will be from your Btech course, now if you hadn't, so it also depends on you that how much time you give to your studies in a day but most probably if you think so a person can give maximum 18 hour to his/her study, if I say full focus on study, so with this, it would be sufficient for you to crack the exam if you don't want to give this much time then it may take one year because we cannot consider that you are vanished in the area of your BTech syllabus but you need to have a revision.
Best of luck.
