For receiving a call from IIM and FMS you need to have CAT score above 85 percentile and for especially FMS you need to have above average score in IIFT exam.

Well you have good academic score so it will give you some weightage in your selection criteria. Especially for mechanical background students I generally suggest them to enroll in some certification course in six sigma or lean management. Because operation management course is in trend for this background and it will fetch you more than industry average package in your future.
