Hello,
This is to inform you that since the year 2021 the 75% minimum board percentage but for the 2022, the case is not the same thus this year minimum 75% for general category students and 65% for ST/SC is mandatory in class 12th. hence this is the criteria mandatory for admission in IIT.
Hello lakshya,
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, has announced the following changes to the JEE pattern beginning in 2017:
1. There would be no weightage for 12th class marks in calculating JEE (Main) examination ranks.
2. To qualify for admission to the IITs/NITs/IIITs and other CFTIs whose admissions are based on JEE (Advanced)/JEE (Main) ranks, candidates must have obtained at least 75% of the marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20%ile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. The qualifying marks in the 12th class examination for SC/ST candidates would be 65%.
It is clearly stated on the website that you must obtain a score of at least 75% in order to be admitted to IITS.
