So with regard to your query, if you wish to get between 80 to 90 percentile in JEE Mains then you need to score above 80 marks in the exam. And your rank will really be high it almost will be 180000 and above. However, there are NITs across India which accepts the rank above 60,000. It better for you to score more marks in the JEE Mains exam i.e. try to score more than 100 atleast for better seat.

Hi there. In response to your query the answer would heavily depend on the relative performance of the other students. Percentile is not equivalent to percentage hence their is no assumed score that guarantees a certain percentile percentage, best would be to focus on preparation and trying to get as much as answers correct in the examination.
