As you have mentioned that your JEE Percentile is 83.4 which indeed is less to get into the NITs even in third round..

But with this Percentile you can get NITs or IIITs in the mop up round..

You haven't mentioned your category. Nevertheless, if you fall under reserved category then it would be easier for you to get a seat...
