Hey,
Every IIM has different set of eligibility criteria for the selection of the candidates. The major role is played by the score of CAT. Your academic profile is also taken into consideration. Your academic profile includes your marks of 10th,12th and also graduation.
If you score a percentile of 95 or so you are likely to get a call from any top Business school in India.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.

Hey,
Every IIM or any good College for MBA has different set of eligibility criteria for the selection of the candidates. The major role is played by the score of CAT. Weightage is also given to your  academic performance.
If you score an average of 95 percentile, then you have fair chances to get a call from top Business schools.
Hope this helps
Good luck.

Dear Utkarsh, to be honest with you, your 12th and Graduation percentiles have been a little less which means you need to score 95% and above in CAT to balance the previous academic performances. If you are wondering why, then here is the analysis. There are 20 IIMs in India. The admission criteria of each IIM is independant to mandate their own eligibility criteria including CAT score, accademic cut offs, past academic performance, relevant work experience, etc. Selection of Candidates for Institutions accepting CAT scores depends upon the Institution you are interested in. The basic step is to check your CAT score and few Institutions conduct further rounds like Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The weightage will be given to both the procedures while selecting a Candidate. Candidates will mostly be shortlisted based on their CAT scores. The 20 IIMS and all the Participating Institutions will announce their Cut offs. The cut off is prepared after checking various factors. MBA aspirants will have to apply separately to all the Colleges that accept CAT scores. While CAT score remains the main criteria for selection, IIMs also consider other factors like previous academic performance, work experience, gender and Academic diversity.

IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta and IIM Bangalore conduct their admission process separately.

The newly established IIMs follow a Common Admission Process which is also called CAP. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a Common Written Ability Test and Personal Interview Rounds. A separate Institute wise merit list will be prepared and this merit list will be declared based on individual admission and selection criteria.

IIM Sirmaur, IIM Jammu, IIM Nagpur will release their own merit list according to the CAT score or percentile and profile of the Candidate. There are no further rounds for these Institutions.

The B schools which do not fall under IIMs will conduct their own selection process. The process of selection such as Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview are conducted at the Institution's discretion.

IMT Ghaziabad, MICA conduct group activity or group exercise instead of group discussion. Some Institutioms also conduct Written Ability Test and Personal Interviews after Group Discussion.

Required percentiles:

FMS, Delhi needs 95 percentile.

IIM Shillong: 92 percentile

NITIE Mumbai: 91 percentile

IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Tiruchirapalli, MDI Gurgaon, IIM Udaipur, IIM Rohtak, IIM Ranchi, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IMT Ghaziabad, IMI New Delhi, XIM Bhubaneshwar and New IIMS need 90 percentile.

For example, IIM Khozikhode Admission Criteria for 2019- 21; Shortlisting criteria:

CAT Overall Index Score carried 75% weightage

Class 12 percentage carried 7.5% weightage

Graduation score carried 7.5% weightage

Work Experience carried 5% weightage

Academic diversity factor carried 5% weightage

So you need to score nothing less than 95% in CAT to get into an IIM.

According to cut offs from previous years if you want to get a call from IIM'S then you have to score above 95 percentile in Cat entrance exam . Some IIMS'S even have a cut off of 99.2 , 99.3 percentile like in IIIM Ahmedabad.  So you have to get good percentile. General category have usually high cut offs you must know that. Also your academics will matter so you have good academics but you have to score above 95 percentile to get a call from IIMS . All the best
