Solution : Given:
A and B together can finish a job in 24 days, while A, B and C together can finish the same job in 8 days.
Then in 1 day A and B together can finish $\frac{1}{24}$th part of the job.
Also, A, B, and C together can finish the same job in 8 days.
⇒ In 1 day A, B, and C together can finish $\frac{1}{8}$ part of the job.
Then C alone in 1 day can finish $(\frac{1}{8}-\frac{1}{24}) = (\frac{3-1}{24}) = \frac{2}{24}$th part of the job
$\therefore$ C alone will finish the job in $=\frac{1}{\frac{2}{24}} = \frac{24}{2}=12$ days
Hence, the correct answer is 12 days.
