Correct Answer: 6000 units

Solution : The correct option is 6000 units.

The momentum (p) of an object is given by the product of its mass (m) and velocity (v). Mathematically, it is expressed as:

p=m⋅v

If the velocity (v) of the ball is doubled, the new velocity (v new ) becomes 2v. The new momentum (p new ) can be calculated using the formula:

p new = m⋅v new

Substituting v new = 2v into the equation:

p new = m⋅2v

if the initial momentum (p) is given as 3000 units, the new momentum (p new ) can be expressed as:

p new =2⋅p

Substituting p=3000,  p new =2⋅3000

p new =6000

Therefore, if the velocity of the ball is doubled, the new momentum will be 6000 units.
