Correct Answer: 140

Solution : $5\frac{1}{2}$% means 5.5% and $3\frac{1}{2}$% means 3.5%.
When misread as 5.5%, the answer = 220
The value of 1% is $\frac{220}{5.5}$ = 40
Thus, the correct value for 3.5% = 40 × 3.5 = 140
Hence, the correct answer is 140.
