Correct Answer: 9 km/hr


Solution : A car has to cover a distance of 288 km in 20 hours.
It covers half of the journey in $\frac{1}{5}$th of the time.
So it covers $\frac{288}{2}=144$ km in $20×\frac{1}{5}=4$ hours
Required speed $=\frac{144}{20-4}=\frac{144}{16}=9$ km/hr
Hence, the correct answer is 9 km/hr.
