Correct Answer: 12 : 1

Solution : Let the distance covered by the first person as $D$, their speed as $S_1$, and their time as $T_1$.
Let the second person denote their speed as $S_2$ and their time as $T_2$.
The second person covers 25% of the distance = $0.25D$
The second person takes triple the time to cover $0.25D$ = $3T_1$
Since $\frac{S_1}{S_2}= \frac{D_1×T_2}{D_2×T_1}$
So, $\frac{S_1}{S_2}= \frac{D×3T_1}{0.25D×T_1}$
$⇒\frac{S_1}{S_2} = \frac{12}{1}$
Hence, the correct answer is 12 : 1.
