Correct Answer: 11 minutes 15 seconds
Solution : Given: A constable Ram is 225 m behind a thief Somesh. Ram runs 50 m and Somesh runs 30 m in a minute. They were running in the same direction. So, their relative speed is (50 – 30) = 20 m in a minute. So, the required time = $\frac{225}{20}$=$\frac{45}{4}$ minutes = 11$\frac{1}{4}$ minutes = 11 minutes 15 seconds. So, constable Ram caught the thief Somesh after 11 minutes and 15 seconds. Hence, the correct answer is 11 minutes 15 seconds.
