A crate of mass 40.0 kg is pulled by a force of 2000 N, up an inclined plane which makes an angle of 30 with the horizon. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the plane and the crate is k = 0.20. If the crates starts from rest, calculate its speed after it has been pulled 10.0 m. Draw

Hello candidate,

If the block is pulled by a force of 2000 Newton, the friction force on the kinetic friction also acts in the same direction as the motion because of it acting against the gravity.

So total force applied on the block is equal to 40*10*0.2 cos30 + 2000= 2040 N, and hence the acceleration is equal to 2040/40= 51 kgm/s^2.

So, the speed is equal to √2*41*10= 28.63 m/s.

Hope It was informational!!
