a current carrying conductor will produce electric field or magnetic field ?
Answer (1)
Hii Tejas!
The electric field inside a current carrying conductor is zero be because the charges are distributed on the surface of the conductor. But, magnetic field is created around the current carrying conductor. The moving charges create a magnetic field around the conductor. The magnetic field lines around a straight current carrying conductor are in the shape of concentric rings. Hope this helps.
Good luck!
