Correct Answer: 12
Solution : Given: Certain men can do a piece of work in 60 days. Let the certain number of men be $x$. Total work done $= 60x$ Time taken by $(x+6)$ to complete the work = (60 – 20) = 40 days As per given condition, ⇒ $60x=(x+6)×40$ ⇒ $60x=40x+6×40$ ⇒ $60x-40x=240$ ⇒ $20x=240$ ⇒ $x=\frac{240}{20}=12$ Hence, the correct answer is 12.
