Correct Answer: 200
Solution :
Let the number of eggs he bought be 100 units.
Eggs, after removing rotten one = 90 units
Eggs given to neighbour = 80% of 90 = 72 units.
Now, remaining eggs = 90 - 72 = 18 units.
Now, on comparing, we get,
18 units = 36
1 unit = $\frac{36}{18}$
100 units = $\frac{36}{18}$×100 = 200.
So, he bought 200 eggs.
Hence, the correct answer is 200.
