Correct Answer: 8400
Solution : Let the amount received by each son be Rs. $x$. The amount received by each daughter = 1.5$x$ The amount received by wife = $x$ – 600 Total amount = Rs. 19000 According to the question, $3x + 2(1.5x) + x- 600 = 19000$ ⇒$ 7x =19600$ ⇒ $x = 2800$ Amount received by the three sons together = 3 × (2800) = Rs. 8400 Hence, the correct answer is 8400.
