Correct Answer: glucose

Solution : The correct option is glucose.

In diabetes mellitus, the body's failure to adequately manage blood glucose results in hyperglycemia, or elevated blood sugar levels. The kidneys filter extra glucose from the blood into the urine, bringing water with it and resulting in excessive urination (polyuria). This frequent urination, in turn, causes an increase in thirst (polydipsia). As a result, people with diabetes frequently drink extra water to compensate for fluid loss and to quench their increased thirst.
