Let cost price (CP) of 1 litre milk be x.

Total CP = 20x

Profit = 50% of 20x = 10x

So total money earned = Total CP+Profit = 20x+10x = 30x

Now, milk is sold at its CP.

So amount of milk sold = 30x/x = 30 litres

Actual amount of milk = 20 litres

So amount of water added = 30-20 = 10 litres
