Correct Answer: Chlorophyll

Solution : The correct option is Chlorophyll.

Chlorophyll is the plant chemical equivalent to haemoglobin in animals. Both molecules are required for the proper functioning of their respective species. Chlorophyll is a green pigment present in chloroplasts, which are the organelles in plants that perform photosynthesis. It collects sunlight and converts the energy into oxygen and glucose by converting carbon dioxide and water. The structures of chlorophyll and haemoglobin are similar. They both have a core metal atom, which in chlorophyll is magnesium and in haemoglobin is iron. They also share a ring of atoms that surrounds the metal atom.
