Hi,

A person of mass 50kg carrying a load of 20kg walks up to a staircase. If the width and height of each step are 0.2m and 0.2m respectively,

Total mass (m)=50kg + 20kg =70kg

Heighth (h)=20×0.2=4m

The work done her is the potential energy=mgh=70×10×4=2800 J

Hope this helps!
