Correct Answer: 58 km/hr
Solution : We know Distance = Speed × Time Distance travelled by the person travelling at 40 km/hr for 3 hours = 40 × 3 km = 120 km Distance travelled by the person travelling at 30 km/hr for 2 hours = 30 × 2 km = 60 km Distance travelled by the person travelling at 80 km/hr for 5 hours = 80 × 5 km = 400 km Now, Average Speed = $\frac{\text{Total Distance}}{\text{Total Time}}$ = $\frac{120+60+400}{3+2+5}$ = 58 km/hr Hence, the correct answer is 58 km/hr.
