a projectile has a range r and a time of flight t if the ranged is tripled
Hi Candidate,
First let's know about the Range of the projectile- The range of the motion is fixed by the condition y=0 . Using this we can rearrange the parabolic motion equation to find the range of the motion: R=u × sin2θ/g.
Now coming on to the Time of Flight, the Time of Flight for projectile is given by T= 2u× sin theta/g. If the Range is tripled, at the same angle that means that the Initial velocity "u" is Tripled, and as time also depends on the Initial velocity, then the time of flight is also tripled.
Hope that this answer helps you.
