Correct Answer: 220 metres


Solution : Given: Length of bridge = 80 m
Time = 15 sec
Speed is 72 km/hr
= $72\times\frac{5}{18}$
= 20 m/sec
Let the length of the train be $x$ metres.
Distance = Speed × time = 20 × 15 = 300 metres
Length of train = Total distance – length of the bridge = 300 – 80 = 220 metres
Hence, the correct answer is 220 metres.
