Correct Answer: 100 metres
Solution : The relative speed of the train to the car is the difference between their speeds = 180 – 108 = 72 km/hr = 72 × $\frac{5}{18}$ = 20 m/s The length of the train is the distance it travels in the time it takes to overtake the car. Since distance = speed × time So, the length of the train = 20 × 5 = 100 metres Hence, the correct answer is 100 metres.
