So, in the given numerical, the % of pure milk in the mixture is 40%. That means that the quantity of water is 60%. For making the ratio of milk and water 1:1, there is no need of changing the percentage of water.The % of water will remain the same. To make the ratio 1:1, you simply need to add 20% pure milk to the mixture.
So, quantity of pure milk to be added = 20 % of 25 litres
= 0.2 x 25 litres
= 5 Litres.
So, 5 Litres of pure milk will needed to be added so as to make the ratio 1:1
