This recruitment body conducts 5 selection examinations every year - Bank PO, Clerk and Specialist officers for Public-Sector Banks. Mains Exam is the toughest yet crucial round of IBPS PO exam. The latest examination pattern (2017) has 5 sections; Reasoning and computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, English Language, General Banking Awareness alongside Descriptive test which includes Letter Writing & Essay.

Interview round is the final round of the selection process. In this round, candidates who qualified Prelims exam will appear for a face-to-face interview with a panel of bank officials.

The applicants ought to be between 20 to 30 years of age. Age relaxation of 5 years for Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) and 3 years' relaxation for Other Backward Class (OBC) as per the government norms. Graduation degree from a recognized university is mandatory.
