Industrial and production engg is sister of mechanical engineering all subjects are same but change is that the 2 topics ac&refrigrator and one more is not studied by us but studied in mechanical branch. Instead of these two we study about product management and bussiness . If you have interest in this branch then only take if you want mechanical and unable to get it then take industrial and production .

Production Engineering is a specialised area of Mechanical Engineering. The objective of the discipline is to enable engineers to improve efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing and service sector Industries. The curriculum includes basic mechanical engineering subjects. B.E or B.Tech in Industrial and Production. Engineering is a four-year programme.
