There are many Merchant Navy Institutes in india, private and government. One of the reputed university in Merchant Navy is Indian Maritime University (IMU) which has 5 campuses in India:
- Kolkata
- Cochin
- Mumbai
- Visakhapatnam
- Chennai
Courses offered in them:
- BSc in Nautical Science
- BTech in Marine Engineering
- BSc in Maritime Science
- Diploma in Nautical Science
- BSc in Ship building and Repair
Admission in IMU is done on the basis of entrance test; IMU-CET
