according to neet latest information bulletin.. private and NIOS candidates are eligible to appear in neet ug exam 2020..??...pls give me correct information because many website confused me on this matter and I'm also completed class 12th as a private candidate from cbse in 2018 ..i eligible for it
NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
I would suggest you not to look at other websites in the matter because Different websites convey different information sometimes. Just rely on neet official website www.ntaneet.nic in and download the information bulletin. That is the correct thing to do right now. If it says you are eligible, then you are eligible. Hope you understand.
Good luck!
Mahesh, the link to NTA Information bulletin is: https://ntaneet.nic.in/Ntaneet/ShowPdf.aspx?Type=50C9E8D5FC98727B4BBC93CF5D64A68DB647F04F&ID=AC3478D69A3C81FA62E60F5C3696165A4E5E6AC4 In page no# 17 under Code 02, there is a paragraph written in Italic that Open School and Private candidates are not eligible for NEET. A little further in the same page, it goes on to say and we quote:
The proviso in italics has been subject matter of challenge before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, Hon’ble High Court of Allahabad, Lucknow Bench and Hon’ble High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur. The provisions of the regulations disqualifying recognised Open School Board candidates and the candidates who have studied Biology/Biotechnology as an additional Subject has been struck down. The Medical Council of India has preferred Special Leave Petitions before the Hon’ble Supreme Court and Appeals in the Hon’ble High Courts. Therefore, the candidature of candidates in the NEET (UG)-2020 who have passed the qualifying examinations i.e. 10+2 from National Institute of Open Schooling or State Open Schools or as private candidates from recognised State Boards; or with Biology/Biotechnology as additional subject shall be allowed but subject to the outcome of Special Leave Petitions/Appeals filed by the Medical Council of India).
We are not attempting to write this answer in our own words but rather quoting it from the Information Bulletin itself for validation. So NIOS ans Private students are eligible for NEET 2020. The page no# 17 will clarify this for you.
