Hi!
Greetings of the day
MHA in his vide order no. 40-3/2020-DM-l(A) dated 29.06.2020 has issued guidelines that it has been directed that colleges and educational institutions will remain closed till 31.07.2020. It has also been further stated that online/distance learning shall continue to be permitted and shall be encouraged.
In one of earlier notification MHRD issues that Second year and third year classes will be taken from 1 August and For first year it was 1 September.
But considering current situation of pandemic COVID 19 according to me it seems really impossible to conduct offline classes from respective dates. However many universities going to be online from this session. Many universities going to start their session from July 15 & August 1 via online mode for second year and third year student.
Now we have to see when this pandemic over and classes for first year will start. So classes of first year totally depend on the situation of this pandemic.
Thanks.
The final year examinations in Colleges and Universities might get Cancelled, The examinations that were initially scheduled for July have been postponed due to the Pandemic as the no.of Cases have been increasing. The MHRD Minister did tweet that" “I have advised the @ugc_india to revisit the guidelines issued earlier for intermediate and Terminal Semester examinations and academic calendar. The foundation for revisited guidelines shall be health and safety students, teachers and staff.” This means a decision is still in pending. MP, Odisha and Maharashtra have decided to cancel all final year examinations. And coming to classes, it is still unknown because there are lot of factors that need to be taken into consideration. And all Educational Institutions are under lockdown until July 31st and so it needs to be seen as to how will they take it forward. Please wait to hear from MHRD. They might start online classes or conduct classes in shifts but again this might not happen in July atleast.
