The writer believes that past experiences should be forgotten and we must be hopeful for the future. The writer here suggests that we all make new year resolutions but most of us are not able to keep it because we expect too much from ourselves and that we are hard on ourselves. But the writer thinks that the most important resolution that one must take us to leave behind the past and to move to the future. Forgetting the past does not mean forgetting the experiences and the life lessons it taught us. Instead we should be able to utilize these lessons in future to make it much better.
