Hello Varsha, NIPER stands for National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, and these are govt colleges just like IITs, NITs, IIITs etc but NIPER is for courses in Pharmaceutical science. NIPERs have been declared as Institute of National Importance and set up as an autonomous body under department of pharmaceuticals, ministry of chemicals and fertilizers, india.
