As you haven't mentioned the category, so considering it to be general. 86 percentile is descent score, but it won't get your admission in prestigious government colleges like NITs and IITs. To get admission into these colleges you need to score atleast 93+ percentile in the next attempt. But you can still get some government colleges in this percentile.
