Dear Aspirant,

to pursue to become a CBI as a profession, the first step is to become a group A level officer, for which you are required to appear for the Civil Services Exam which is conducted by the UPSC, and then to become a sub inspector in CBI, you will be required to appear for the SSC CGL Examination.

There are 3 Main Ways of Joining CBI

1. For Group A Positions in CBI, you need to clear UPSC followed by getting Deputed as an IPS Cadre Officer.

2. To join CBI at a Sub Inspector/Group B Level, you need to ace SSC CGL Examination.

3. Special and Meritorious Officers are selected and deputed from State Crime Branches to CBI. You may join State Police Services, have an experience with Crime/CID/Investigation Branch, if luck favours youll be recommended for CBI Deputation.

So for now, since youre in Class 10, work hard for your Board Exams, followed by Class 12th. Get your Graduation done, and hence you may start your Preparation for UPSC CSE/SSC CGL/State Poilce Service or Both.
