Hello aspirant. For general seats your all India rank is considered. But for some lower categories like OBC, SC, ST candidates have an extra privilege of reservation. For getting admission on those reserved seat, your category rank is considered. It all depends on the total intake of the college. More seats means more reserved seats, as it is some percent of the total.
